Spent Black Friday morning in Chinatown #photography

Tried recreating #aerochrome on my full spectrum DP2 Merrill #foveon and I think I got pretty close!

Using a green/red/nir bandpass filter, along with a minus green cc30m filter to reduce greens a bit (all three foveon layers are green sensitive, so reduction is needed).

I shoot in raw and just dump each layer of sensor data to a color channel (top > blue, mid > green, bottom > red), and then adjust white balance and saturation in post. Surprisingly this kind of works!

It’s November, which means that SF summer has finally transitioned to fall #photography

Shot all these on the #leica T I fixed up recently and a Sony RX0 I’ve been using as my daily carry camera.

The RX0 is incredible. It was marketed as an action camera, but it’s basically a tiny RX100 with a sharp wide angle prime lens. The raw files are really clean and grade just like the ones from the Leica (which also has a Sony sensor).

It was a full house when we went on Saturday. Lots of people (and dogs). I felt bad for a lot of the dogs; most of them looked stressed out. This guy (Bjorn) was fine though. #photography
